Summary of impact:
- US region: 7 seconds of downtime due to planned GCP maintenance.
- EU region: An issue during the database update resulted in 14 minutes and 15 seconds of degraded performance (03:16:03–03:30:18 UTC on April 29, 2026).
We are actively working with our cloud provider to determine the root cause of the EU incident and to implement measures to prevent recurrence. All systems in both regions have now returned to normal operation

We will be performing scheduled maintenance on our database infrastructure to improve performance, increase capacity, and enhance system reliability.
Services will continue to operate normally throughout the maintenance window, except for a brief 40–60 second period during which there may be temporary unavailability or connection timeouts. During this time, existing conversations may receive a temporary message asking users to check back shortly.
Our engineering team will actively monitor all systems throughout the maintenance period to minimize disruption and ensure a smooth transition.
